The People Of London
Holy Ghost Revival are an American band living in the 'big smoke', London, England. In London, people love to dance to pre-recorded music, but seem to be vehemently opposed to any sort of physical movement while live music is performed. London kids are cynical and unfeeling and no one wears their heart on their sleeves anymore.

Of course, the exception to the rule is when seventy percent or more of the crowd pretends to like a band; there is a common consensus or decision to pretend to enjoy it.

In London there are events called 'club nights'. These nights are organized by the up and coming social elite of London and usually claim to advocate 'alternative', 'indie', 'electro', 'dance', 'punk', or another vague and dishonest description to describe the kind of music they will be DJing throughout the night.

Sometimes they invite the band Holy Ghost Revival to play, and usually the crowd seems very surprised when the pre recorded music ceases and the live music begins. The members of Holy Ghost Revival have an aesthetic very different from most young club goers, and usually they do not know what to make of the aural rape stampeding into their eyes and ears.

We try our best and play our hearts out, but it is very easy to become frustrated with London 'club nights' as people are not there to enjoy live music either as a low brow or high brow pleasure, they are there to be seen in their newly purchased clothing, take cocaine, and dance 'ironically'.

We encourage the crowd to throw objects, hurtle verbal abuse, move their bodies, or leave, and usually the audience does neither of the above. They merely stand with mouths agape afraid to make any conclusions on hating or loving our music even after getting verbally or physically berated by the band.

It’s a disaffected and numb existence these people have, and we feel sorry for them as well as harbor extreme animosity, for it appears that in this post modern world, young people are very adverse to taking a risk, caring, or advocating anything for fear that they might stand apart from the rest.

We are here for the apocalypse, we are here for a movement, and we are here for the order of the left hand.

Please throw stuff.

Sincerely,

Holy Ghost Revival
